The cultural heritage of the region stands upon the pillars of Christian traditions and tit is preserved in the environment of these majestic mountains. It was the natural conditions and life of the people living between the lowlands and high mountains which symbolize uniqueness of the region as well as rich diversity of  material and spiritual heritage of the folk culture in the Fatra region. The core of the precious cultural heritage of Mala Fatra is particularly Jánošík’s tradition that speaks to the visitors by means of emotions and its own individual charm of numerous tourist attractions.
